It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on here. Life can be so crazy sometimes but right now my life is crazy in a new way. I recently won a few awards and received a grant to build a labyrinth on the UWSP campus at Treehaven. Have you ever seen a labyrinth? Have you ever walked a labyrinth? It is something I highly suggest. Here is the design that I am creating for my labyrinth.
Labyrinths can have many purposes. I used them therapeutically. Creating them and tracing or walking them is so calming for me and helps me relax and calm my anxious heart. These paths can be used for personal, psychological and spiritual transformation. It represents a journey to our own center and back out again into the world. Labyrinths evoke metaphors such as sacred geometry, spiritual pilgrimage, religious practice, mindfulness, environmental art, and community building.
I challenge all of you to go the link below and find a labyrinth near you and go visit and see what the labyrinth experience means to you. Please let me know what you think of them. I think it’s a journey we should all take at some point.
